1st Team all-rounder Ross Acton had "reasons to be cheerful" on
Saturday last, wearing a different set of footwear to his more
accustomed cricket spikes, he scored the only and winning goal
for Bradninch Football Team in their Intermediate Division Devon
League game and later that night celebrated his 18th birthday
with family and friends. The good news in cricketing terms is
that next summer Ross will now be able to stand his round and
purchase the umpteen jugs we hope he will earn through exploits
with bat and ball.
