The Cricket Club Bar Chairman Eddie Andress was quite literally
�knocking them over� at will, when playing for the Club�s Winter
Skittle Team. Eddie, who has served the Club for well over 50
years, first as a strike bowler (one who could also �welly� more
than the odd six over the long off boundary), and since packing
in the wearing of the regulation whites he has also served on
the Committee of the Club.
These days Eddie is a star of the green baize as he is
locally accepted as one of the all time greats in local billiard
leagues and now he can boast of holding the new Club Alley
Record after an amazing night in the recent game with The Beare.
Eddie certainly had one of those �nights on the alley never
to forget�, breaking the alley record with a score of 87
striking no less than four �spares�, and including an incredible
23 in one of his throws!
His efforts, needless to say, helped the Club team to win the
game!
