30th June 2006
Dear Vice
Presidents & Sponsors,
BCC 2006 Yearbook
Bradninch Cricket
is flourishing and its a pleasure to have the opportunity to
write to you during a year when we have a lot to be proud of.
Progress on the
field is summarised in the Yearbook Foreword and we are well set
for further honours and increasing prestige, with a talented
nucleus of young players destined to take Bradninch to the top
flight of Devon Cricket in all forms of the game.
The provision of a
new net facility last July and the continuing selfless efforts
of our Senior Coach, Mark Stanbury, tirelessly promoting and
introducing the game to young people of all ages, underpins a
development culture that is wholly supported by a loyal and
committed senior membership.
Last years Vice
Presidents & Sponsors letter mentioned how impressed the Town
Council were during their annual inspection and it is no
surprise to be able to record a similarly glowing report when
they visited last Wednesday.
Having taken
responsibility for the Pavilion in April 2004, the early
refurbishment activities were aimed at essential repairs and
redecoration, while we were juggling finances and establishing
budgetary control.
With a strong
committee structure in place, we were able to finance a clubroom
makeover last Autumn ahead of hosting a wonderfully successful
Dinner & Dance. Please take a moment to review the report
published after the event on the BCC website at
www.bradninchcc.org.uk/news/2005/oct/01_dinner.htm.
This years Dinner
& Dance will be held at the BCC Pavilion on the 14th October
2006 and you are warmly invited to attend. Please check the BCC
website or club notice board for details, or contact the
Secretary or myself for more information.
We do hope to see
you before then and as a token of our appreciation for your
valuable support, there will be a complementary glass of your
favourite tipple waiting for you and your partner, when you are
able to visit and enjoy some Cricket in the most picturesque,
panoramic sporting landscape in Devon.
Yours faithfully,

Derrick Foan
BCC Chairman
