Here is a guide to the day and how it will be run. If you have
any queries or need more information please do not hesitate to
contact us on 01404 44501 or
bornet@btopenworld.com and we will try to answer your questions.
Please also find attached a running order for each ground.
Games
At each ground there will be two games being played
simultaneously.
The first games will start at 10.30am, the second at 12 midday
and the third at 2.00pm.
(We have allowed one and a half hours for each game with half an
hour in between. Please be prepared to be a little flexible if games
run over)
We ask that all teams are at their respective grounds half an
hour before they are due to start.
There are a couple of minor changes to the League rules in order
to speed up the proceedings.
1. Each game will last for 24 overs; 12 overs a side
2. Each bowler may bowl no more than two overs
3. Each pair will bat for 3 overs.
 this will also apply to the semi-finals and final
Each team should provide an umpire and a scorer.
An umpire will be allowed to score if no scorer is available.
Each team to provide a ball for each match not necessarily new
Each team may bring a squad of up to 12 players
Players for each game must be nominated before the start of each
game
We hope each team will bring a squad and use all 12 players, so as
to enter into the spirit of this type of cricket.
There will be approximately half an hour between each game
Squash and biscuits will be provided between each innings
Points
Win = 3 points
Tie = 2 points
Lose = 1 point
The teams from each pool with the most points at the end of the
day will go forward to the semi finals and final at Ottery St Mary
on Sunday July 9th. The same format will also apply to this day but
with only one game being played at a time.
Each ground will provide refreshments for players and spectators
throughout the day. Coffee, teas, BBQ and possibly cream teas
(Thorverton) will be served. Both clubs will have their bars open
from midday.
PLEASE BRING AS MANY SUPPORTERS AS YOU CAN FOR
