The Guildhall in Bradninch is showing the England matches on big screen tv, when this summers World Cup gets under way. The scheme is being run to help generate funds for the Duchy Playgroup and admission to the matches is just 2 an adult and 1 for a junior. There will be a bar available and it promises to generate a great atmosphere. What's more the funds raised are going to a very worthy local Bradninch cause!

Meanwhile Sandford Cricket Club are the latest to announce that they are changing their fixed policy on no tv at cricket matches when they too have a set available at their Creedy Park headquarters for as one of the Clubs stalwarts said:

The World Cup is an opportunity for the Club to make some money via the bar and whilst one or two of the traditionalists are dead against the idea of a tv being on during play there's no getting away from the fact that the World Cup has massive interest and we'd be shooting ourselves in the foot if we didn't make an effort to maximise the opportunity to raise funds!
