Former 1st XI skipper Chris Acton has had a torrid time lately
with injury and so thought the corner had been turned with three
successive appearances; indeed he had been hoping to play in
last Saturdays 2nd XI game with Abbotskerswell but the night
before the game he felt a twinge in his left knee and as a
precaution pulled out of the game. However he is hoping a
visit to a physio will give him the all clear to take his place
in the forthcoming Mid Devon Twenty20 Cup that is going to be
centred on the clubs Kensham Park headquarters. Acton says:
I am really hoping to make those games, Twenty20 is
great fun to be involved in and if I can get myself fit Id
like to think the format suits me.
