Week 23 of the 25-week long North Devon Cricket League season
was hit by the weather with just three of the dozen scheduled
matches being played.
The Bradninch II home game with North Molton
fell foul of the weather but the biggest casualty of the day was
the First Division showdown at Creedy Park where our two rivals
for the Leagues top honour were set to meet in a whoever loses
is out contest.
This means that North Devon now travel to
Kensham Park this coming Saturday for a MASSIVE game the
outcome of which is very straightforward. If the Instow men win
the contest they will be crowned League Champions. However if
Gary Chappells side claim the victory on the day then the
outcome of the 2008 League title will not be decided until the
following week and the Kensham Park meeting between us and
Sandford.
Its all set for one of the most exciting
finishes to a Sunday season in the history of the North Devon
league.
