Eddie Andress is the Bradninch Cricket Club HOUSE CHAMPION for
2009 after seeing off all-comers in a well supported event at
the Club.
Eddie ‘Eagle’ Andress was one of four players to come through
the 1st round stages where all nine players had three games of
best of two legs of 201, double in and double out.
Andress then met Alan ‘Silky’ Dowrick in the semi-final and beat
him whilst Gary Newall, who had qualified as the top-ranked
player from the earlier group stages, went out to Chris ‘action
man’ Acton.
This left an Andress, Acton showdown which the club stalwart won
2-0 to seal the first ever BCC Open Darts title.
