Saturday’s visitors to Kensham Park - Budleigh Salterton, are
somewhat surprisingly - given their status at the end of last
season as runners-up to champions Sidmouth, coming to Bradninch
accepting that Saturday’s game is now a must-win for them as
well as the hosts!
The Budleigh Journal is reporting the Budleigh Secretary as
saying he feels this coming game is ‘vital’ to the side’s
chances of avoiding a nervous end to the season.
Indeed he was very critical of the Budleigh side’s
performance in a heavy defeat last weekend to Plympton.
Former Bradninch player Mike Cliff is unlikely to be included
in the visiting side for last weekend he was the star of the
show in a rare Budleigh 2nd XI win that gave them a real chance
of avoiding the drop out of the Premier 2nd XI top-flight and
this weekend the Budleigh 2nds host relegation threatened rivals
Exmouth II at Ottermouth.
