Bradninch 2nd XI slumped to a disappointing
defeat when asked to bat on a wicket that
offered much for the bowlers throughout.
Only Simon Bailey (28) and Chris Dean (22)
managed to put up much resistance as the
Plymstock bowlers took full advantage of the
conditions as the visitors were hustled out for
86, knocked off by the hosts for the loss of
five wickets, three of which were claimed by
leading wicket taker Mark Perrott.
So the defeat sees Phil Chappell’s side slip to
5th but even so a top five finish - they
complete their season next Saturday at home to
new champions Cornwood II - is a job well done
for the side.
