The phrase ‘club legend’ is not one you can use liberally
however Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Andress most certainly qualifies for
that status given his umpteen years of absolute and total
devotion to the cause of the cricket club through his work with
the finances and ensuring that the bar is run as smoothly as it
is.
Eddie was due to have hospital treatment on his eyes on Thursday
19th February. So we all wish him good luck with the visit to
the good people who do the work on the eyes.
Eddie was pretty non-plussed about the work a week before and
even suggested that he would indeed be on duty 24 or so hours
later when the cricketing darts players are again on duty!
Whilst on the subject of ‘get better soon please’ let’s add
another legend – the one and only Les ‘sezlez’ Kent who has had
a miserable time of late and hopefully will soon be back on the
oche and indeed in the cricket nets.
