It is with deep sadness that we have to pass on the news of the
passing of another person who although not renowned for playing
cricket for the club, was most certainly very much a part of the
BCC social fabric at the height of the cricket club’s dominance
in the social scene of the late 1980 and early 1990s.
Annie Beddows passed away recently after bravely battling lung
cancer. For the past couple of decades Annie had been tutoring
at Exeter College. She helped to educate one of the daughters of
the author of this particular report and she was held in high
esteem by all the students who passed through her classes.
Without doubt Annie will be sorely missed, either through this
who came across her in personal circumstances or indeed whilst
the wheel of education turned for them.
Rest in peace Annie - from all your friends at the Club.
