Unfortunately the first home game of the North Devon Holiday
Homes League 1st Division season at Kensham Park had to be
cancelled when a side could not be raised.
This came the day after the club had put two sides out for
opening fixtures in the Francis Clark Devon League – the 1st
team of course losing but the 2nd XI having a cracking day with
a win at Axminster –
see separate report.
The Sunday XI game was awarded to Newton Tracey and that
probably already ends any hopes of the Club this season
challenging for the Sunday League title for historically two
defeats is the most a side claiming the title has suffered in a
single campaign.
