A trip to Bradninch following your Cricket Team?
'Oh no', some might well say but 'oh yes' we say, for if you do
have to come to Bradninch with kids in tow, to be with a family
member AND sitting watching the game is not for you, then
please, DO NOT DESPAIR as by the time you have read through this
blurb you'll surely have found something else to do (or see)
before linking up with the cricketers and making your way home.
DIRECTIONS First though to actually getting to us:-
From most directions arriving off the M5 is the norm, at
Junction 28, the turn off to Cullompton and then
-
Take a left at the T-junction in Cullompton.
- Travel
all the way through the town and you will ultimately arrive
at a small roundabout.
- Ignore the first exit, which
is the road to Exeter - you require the second exit which is
straight across, and up the hill in front of you. Travel
this road for some 2 miles, finally taking you uphill into
the heart of Bradninch, the heart being what is called
locally as 'The top of the Town'. You are at the top a hill
- there is a Londis Store on your right and the Guildhall on
your left.
- At this point you take a left turn off
the road you have travelled from Cullompton on.
-
Follow this narrow road for some 500 yards
- When at
the recreation ground you turn right and will see the
Cricket Ground slap bang in front of you.
CAR PARKING There is a large car park at the Club
THE CLUB HOUSE Whilst not yet offering hot meals
the licensed facilities provide beverages of all kinds - there
are always some well-chilled Mars bars in the fridge, also the
usual selection of crisps, snacks etc. There is a pool table,
skittle alley and dart board available. Cricket Widow? What to do in Bradninch |
