Former Bradninch CC favourite Les Kent, is to have his name
etched into local sport with the news that the Bradninch Summer
Darts League, launched so successfully in 2009 from the Cricket
Club, is to be named the LES KENT BRADNINCH SUMMER DARTS LEAGUE.
Once again the Cricket Club and the two local pubs, The White
Lion and The Castle Hotel, will be fielding two sides for the
4-person competition which allows for a format of four singles,
four doubles and an end-of-the-night – 1,0001.
The Cricket Club teams will be one led by Luke Wrightson and the
other will be very much the ‘older brigade’ with Eddie Andress,
Frank Budd, Alan Dowrick and the babe of the team – Steve ‘Biggles’
Birley!
The League is set to commence on Friday May 21 and run for the
following thirteen weeks.
