Heathcoat come to Bradninch lying in third place and very much part of the 'three-way-race' to the title, Kentisbeare being the other side involved and with the 'Kents' having the easier fixtures (on paper) this game next Saturday is crucial to Craig Hawkins' side hopes. So what do we know about the recent form of our visitors?

Well, last Saturday's 9-point haul from a losing draw at Uplyme can be considered something of a shock given that in their four prior games, they had won the lot, all by batting second,; though to be fair, only once chasing a total of 150 plus. That most recent game saw the home side post 246-9 (wickets for Ware 3-73 and Lilley 3-74) a total that proved too much as indeed Heathcoat might have lost, they closed on 171-9 runs from Chris Gregson 58 and Frankpitt 28 not out.

The previous week saw the fourth successive batting-second win. Visiting Honiton had scored 178-7 and the home side cruised past that without losing a wicket (runs for Cridland 92, and Chilcott 78).

Countess Wear away caused no problems for Heathcoat who completed a comprehensive nine-wicket win. 140 all-out was the home total (wickets for Lilley 3-9 and Lyneham 3-30).
Young Jack Menheniott hit 60, Saunders an unbeaten 64 in the reply.

A visit from Axminster III produced an eight-wicket win as the visitors struggled to 148-8 (Saunders with 4-33) and just 2 wickets were lost in the run chase as Cridland (63), Menheniott (40 not-out) and Williams (21 not-out) saw their side to a comfortable win.

Kentisbeare at home was a walk-over for the team from Knightshayes on the weather-affected wicket the villagers were rolled-over for 66, (wickets for Chilcott 4-15 and Saunders 3-13), in reply the home side lost two wickets closing on 67-2.
