Shobrooke Park 2nd XI were five-wicket winners in the derby
clash with visiting Bradninch 2nd XI. Bradninch - 96 for two thanks to Gary Newall (52) and Derrick
Foan (33) putting on 56 of them - collapsed to 149 all out. Only
Chris Dean (20no) stayed around long once Fran Pyle (5-52) and
Phil Turner (3-51) got down to business.
The run chase stuttered on 66 for 4 with overs quickly passing
by, until Phil Sara (62) raised the tempo leading the way to
victory, with Chris Ford (45no) still there at the end. Andy
Nichols (4-41) ensured Shobrooke didn't always have it all
their own way.
