Bradninch batted Sidmouth 3rd XI out of the game to set
themselves up for a 129 run win. Gary Newall led the way with
70 and shared in a stand of 136 with Andy Nichols (50), to
point Bradninch towards a total of 275 for three.
The early momentum was maintained by Derrick Foan (44) and
Chris Dean (51no). The less said about Sidmouth's bowling
figures the best for all concerned! Charlie Miles (2-52) had the
best of them.
Sidmouth were 16 for three early in their reply, then 84 for
seven, but picked up the pace with Greg Chaplin (20) and Bob
Macey (61) putting on 50.
George Lister made 20, but the damage was done as Sidmouth
subsided to 146 all out in the 42nd of their 50 overs.
