The clubs 2nd XI brought the curtain down on another season in terms of away matches (their final game at home is Saturdays visit of Barton II) bringing victory with a haul of 17 points courtesy of a three wicket win at relegated Abbotskerswell.

Mark Budgie Perrott claimed a brace of wickets (2-55) as the Abbots were restricted to 181-4 then Rob Acton rolled back the years with some superb hitting to strike an unbeaten 93.

Nat Davey chipped in with 33 and Simon Bailey struck 29 as the side raced to a comfortable win. They cannot now finish 3rd but nine points in the final game will secure a very creditable 4th placed finish for the 2nd XI.
