The Bradninch 2nd XI chalked up A Division win number two with a whopping nine wicket win over Barton II at Kensham Park.

The visitors batted first and were quickly on the back foot as Bradninch skipper Phil Chappell and Mark Perrott combined to ensure that wickets were to fall at regular intervals.

The skipper ended with figures of 3-25 and ‘Budgie’ Perrott claimed a brace at a cost of 24 before Nat Davey (45no) and Chris Acton (38no) led a victorious, and mighty comfortable, victory stroll.

The win takes the side into 6th spot in the table and next up is a trip to a South Devon side who will start the game one place, and five points, behind Chappell’s men.
