rolled back the years to deliver a match-winning individual
performance for the 2nd XI in a five wicket win over South Devon
2nds at Kensham Park.
The evergreen Nicholls took 6-40 including a hat-trick to
polish off the visitors’ innings on 130.
Mark Perrott helped out with a brace of wickets and then
Nicholls opened the batting with Club Secretary Chris Dean. The
pair put on 29 before Dean departed bowled for 9. Nicholls stuck
around to strike the side's biggest single score of 35.
The impetus to the run chase came from Syed Hussain who
struck 22 of his cameo knock of 28 in a single over, and the 2nd
XI chalked up a richly deserved five wicket victory.
