Bradninch slipped to a six wicket defeat at home
to Bovey Tracey in a game hit by the weather.
The Kensham Park side had been unable to cover
their wicket which was hit by the Friday night
rain and it made for some difficult conditions
for batsmen and bowlers alike.
After being put in Bradninch did well in very
difficult batting conditions to muster 164-6
with Haydn Murray striking yet another elegant
half century.
Murray (53) and teenager Joe Webb (40) provided
the bulk of the home runs but post-tea, with the
wicket a little easier to bat on, the visitors
got home for the loss of just four wickets,
three of which fell to skipper Ross Acton
(3-40).
Bradninch complete their season with Saturday’s
visit of Plymouth to Kensham Park and they then
wrap things up with a trip to North Devon the
week after.
