Bradninch Cricket Club

In 2005 BRADNINCH are the only side to compete in the 'A' Division who have played in the 'C' Division in the last four seasons, indeed the make up of the 2nd tier of County Cricket in 2005 has its strength in the fact that four of the ten clubs have played at the highest level at some stage during the past four seasons.

Sidmouth, relegated from the top flight in 2004 actually finished 3rd in the Premier Division in the 2002 season whilst Bovey Tracey can claim to have won County Cricket's leading trophy in that same 2002 season.

Two sides, Axminster and South Devon have been permanent fixtures in the 'A' Division for each of the past four seasons, neither finishing lower than 7th. In addition to Bradninch, who go into the 2005 campaign with "back to back" titles under their belts, there are five other sides who have enjoyed "Champion Status" during recent times: Shobrooke Park (B Div 2001), North Devon (A Div 2002), Plymstock (B Div 2002), Axminster (A Div 2001) and the previously mentioned Bovey Tracey (Premier Champions in 2002).
