In 2005 the make up of the Devon League’s basement Division will comprise very much of teams that know each other very well for no less than six of the ten sides have been residents of E Division East in each of the last four seasons.

HEMYOCK, who just missed out on promotion last season finishing 3rd, UPOTTERY, who have finished either 4th or 5th in each of the last four campaigns, HALBERTON & SAMPFORD PEVERELL, who have had two 3rd place finishes in the past three years, CHARDSTOCK, who's recent record reads, 7th, 4th, 5th and a 9th place finish in 2001, WITHERIDGE, who have failed to finish higher than 8th in any of the last four seasons, and CHURCHINFORD, who finished bottom last year and second bottom the year before, make up the six Clubs who have been "regular" competitors in the Division.

They are joined by the two sides relegated last year, HONITON, tasting life at the lowest level for some time, and COUNTESS WEAR, the Exeter based side, like Honiton will find the bottom Division a new experience. CULMSTOCK have the best E Division pedigree of all the ten sides, as they have been Champions twice in the last four years, they were 8th last season and the Division is completed with the presence of NEWTON ST. CYRES who are relative "newcomers" to the Devon League, the 2005 campaign will be their second taste of the League action.
