The Under-13s were in action again on Sunday (July 5) when they travelled to the Maer ground, Exmouth and came up against a far more experienced, not to say, accomplished Exmouth Under-13 side that won the game comfortably.
However, not for the first time this season, the youngsters put in a show that they can be truly proud of. Clearly not overawed by both playing at a Premier League ground and against such good quality opposition, the team, to a player, gave their all and made the large crowd of travelling followers very proud.
Much, if not all, of the credit for the rebirth and development of the Under-13s this season is down to Natalie Hunt, mother of Vinnie Clark who recently made his senior debut for the clubs 2nd XI.
Chairman Derrick Foan said:
“Natalie is a fantastic new addition to our youth section and is showing such drive and positivity. It’s all so new to her and yet she has taken to it so well and I, along with everyone else at the club, is so grateful to her for the effort she is putting in. It really is most appreciated as is the work being done by Chris Piper who, as well as being the Under-11s team manager, is working hard with Natalie to keep the two teams (U13 and U11) playing games.”
