Under 10s v Exeter — 12th May 2019

Three of our players were playing their first ever game, and I’m very proud to have taken a team that were half boys, half girls.

Okay, at the end of the game, Bradninch had been beaten with the scores being 322 to 249 in favour of Exeter. However, the final margin of defeat would have been  much closer had it not been for the 60 extra points for Exeter due to our wide balls!

Gabriel, the captain was the most economic bowler, with no wides sent down and just 14 runs were taken off his two overs!

Amy also bowled well and was our only wicket taker of the day.

In terms of the batting, it was very encouraging for their first game and there was certainly some excellent running between the wickets from all the pairs.

A little bit more practice and these players will definitely be scoring more runs.

Well done, to all who played. It was a lovely morning clearly enjoyed by all that took part. Last, but certainly not least – many, many thanks to all the parents who supported the match – it really was – and is – much appreciated.
