There is much to reflect on while stepping down and as we go through the transition, I would like to say thank you to all the special people who have shared the wonderful journey.
Your support and dedication has made the impossible possible, albeit often teetering on the edge before finding a way to regroup and sustain all that we have achieved. We have taken our club to the dizzy heights of Premier, gained great respect across the Devon cricketing fraternity and built something very special for the whole Bradninch community to embrace.
Thirty years is a long time, but one season rolled in to planning the next, like being on a roller coaster that never stops. This year was different, as with little cricket being played, there was time to give notice for others to consider taking the club forward.
As a final farewell and further tribute to all our hard-working members, please see below my Chairman’s address for the recent AGM. It was sad not being able to attend, but the minutes confirm it was a very productive meeting with an expanded Committee formed under the leadership of new Chairman, Christopher Dean.
It has been an honour and I wish you all the best for the future.
