‘Chaps’ stars as cue men see off King’s Head

Seven days after suffering a disappointing 8-7 defeat away at ‘Castle Cripples’, the cricketing cue men were again involved in an 8-7 score-line, but this time as the winning team in a home meeting with Kings Head.

It could – indeed should – have been a greater winning margin as the cuemen held an 8-3 lead only to lose the Gary ‘hot shot’ Chappell was the start of the show with a played-three-won-three sequence on the night.

There was some further good news for Gary Newall and his merry man as Castle Crippled saw off Weary Travellers 10-5 and that means the cricketing cue men are just a point behind fourth placed Weary.
