Colts’ Award Night proves a massive hit

The 2015 Colts’ Awards Evening was a truly magnificent occasion. Orchestrated and driven by Natalie Hunt it was so well supported that is was very much a case of ‘standing room only’ at the Kensham Club.

Cricket club president Roy Nott was present to dish out the awards after which a superb two-course meal was served from the kitchen by a team led by Natalie’s mother, her husband Tim and Simon and Jill Glendinning. Eighty-plus folk tucked into pulled pork and baked spud followed by ice cream.

Chris Piper made a speech in general and then presided over the U11 awards and then Steve Rowe oversaw the U13 awards. His fellow youth coach Dave Bunker was also present.

One of the most special moments of the evening was when the ‘first timers’ – the six years old and upwards girls and boys who had been given a first taste of cricket in August – were presented by Roy Nott with medals.

ALL the credit for a wonderful night must go to Natalie Hunt.
