The February committee meeting was arguably one of the most positive management meetings held at HQ for some time! Reports from both 1st XI and 2nd XI camps suggested the 2015 season will be completely unlike anything experienced in 2014!
Match fees were held at 2014 prices – ie £8 and £6 on league days. However, subscription fee (membership to the club) rose to £40 per person – and they are due NOW. That membership for Under-18s is £20 per annum and for colts it is £5. The match fee for the new Under-17 team are set at £5 per game and for all colts matches the match fee is to be £3 per game.
The club has again subscribed to the NatWest CricketForce weekend which the club will sue this year to revamp the clubhouse – inside and outside and plans were drawn up last night to create a painting team to ‘hit’ the club over the course of a couple of days/weekends to ensure it has a ‘new look’ to it for the coming season.
Chris Acton kindly agreed to ‘stand-in’ as Kensham Park grounds manager until the club can find a wiling individual to come forward and take on this vital task of co-coordinating all the voluntary labour to get the ground ship shape each week.
