Former ‘Ninch player makes return visit
We have received a cracking message through social media – best explained by simply posting it in its entirety:
“I visited Bradninch Cricket Club last Saturday for the first time in nearly 40 years. I kept wicket between 1972 to 1976.
I actually met up with 3 former team mates; Edward Andress, who could bowl up the hill all afternoon. Number one spinner in his day, Roy Nott. It was great to have a chat with my former captain, John Freeman who used to tell me “Stop the ball and the catches will come“.
I hope to return more often in the future as my eldest son and his family have moved to Uffculme.
Jeff, you’ll be made very welcome any time at the club.
