Former ‘Ninch player’s return visit

Former ‘Ninch player makes return visit

We have received a cracking message through social media – best explained by simply posting it in its entirety:

“I visited Bradninch Cricket Club last Saturday for the first time in nearly 40 years. I kept wicket between 1972 to 1976.

I actually met up with 3 former team mates; Edward Andress, who could bowl up the hill all afternoon. Number one spinner in his day, Roy Nott.┬áIt was great to have a chat with my former captain, John Freeman who used to tell me “Stop the ball and the catches will come“.

I hope to return more often in the future as my eldest son and his family have moved to Uffculme.
Jeff Arnold.”

Jeff, you’ll be made very welcome any time at the club.
