The cricket club has been awarded an £800 ‘Investing in Devon’ grant towards the purchase of a second sightscreen for next season.
Chairman Derrick Foan reports:
“The plan is to source one where the slats can be easily taken down in the event of a storm forecast and of course during the winter months. The recently refurbished canvas screen can then be moved to the Mill end where it will have more protection from high winds.
This is more great news in a wonderful 125th anniversary season and big thanks are due to John Berry and Devon County Council for sourcing and approving this valuable contribution.”
