The first weekend of August may well have been a highly disappointing one in the history of BCC with the nine-man team taking to the pitch for the Devon Senior Cup tie, but plans are afoot to take the club driving forward and into its historic 125th year (2016). Yes, after a horrible weekend which saw just three youngsters turn out for Colts training, 11 folk attend a club Bingo and 9-players take to the pitch for a County Cup tie, all is clearly not lost with the news that the Will Greig has issued a rallying call for players to join in a Development Group to take the club forward. ‘Greigy’ – as he is more commonly known, has boundless enthusiasm and energy and he has set up an initial meeting at an Exeter watering hole, for the players to meet and discuss ways of taking the club forward. He has sent out invitations to players and hopes they will join him on the night. There’s little doubt that with ‘Greigy’ the drive behind the new Development Group that things will happen as the club prepares for the big year in 2016 that sees it celebrate its 125th birthday.
