Thursday, April 21, is the 80th birthday of club president Roy Nott.
Roy has served the club on the ground, on the square, in the committee room and throughout many aspects of club life. He was a long-serving member of the skittles team before taking forced retirement to, in his own words:
“Give younger lads a chance.”
It must be noted that Roy remains a VERY GOOD skittle player as he showed when helping out the team when they were short on numbers in the recent season.
In his playing cricket his wicket taking and dot ball bowling capability were second to none.
These days he rarely misses a 1st XI match and he remains totally dedicated to his beloved BCC – and his lovely wife Annie, and the large Nott clan that are very much of the fabric of BCC – and beyond.
Roy, from everyone connected to BCC – HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
