Junior section needs managerial support

The recent get together involving the cricket junior section and the Bradninch Tennis Club was a big hit.

Junior section chief Steve Rowe said of the night:

“It went well and we got a number of youngsters signed on and I also think a number also showed an interest in joining the tennis  club which is good. My one disappointment about an otherwise splendid night was that tennis club numbers on duty were greater than cricket!”

It is hoped that another night will be staged before the FIRST of the season’s junior outdoor nets which are being held on Friday, April 24.

On that night the Under-10s, 11s and 13s will be catered for from 6pm to 7pm and then from 7pm to 8pm the focus will switch to the vibrant Under-17section.

Steve adds:

“I  would like to thank Natalie Hunt (Vinny’s Mum) for agreeing to manage the U13s with the help of both her husband and Vinny. We are still looking for managers for the 10s and 11s so if your interested or know anyone then please contact me. We really need the support from parents/guardians as these teams may not run this summer.”

Steve is more than happy to field calls from parents/guardians who would like to get involved – contact him on 07999 033 030.
