The draw has been made for the Servicemaster Clean Devon T20 competition Exeter and East Devon section and it leaves Bradninch with a big task to reach the area semi-finals which are scheduled to be held at the Ottermouth home of Budleigh Salterton on Sunday, June 28.
In the first round Dan Hardy’s men must travel to Uplyme and Lyme Regis (tie to be played before May 31). The winners of that game will entertain the winners of the first round tie between Exeter and Budleigh.
Should Hardy’s men see off Uplyme and either Exeter or Budleigh they would then reach the semi-finals where they would meet one of Tiverton or Heathcoat (who have been drawn together) or Sidmouth – the latter got a first round bye.
Devon holders Exmouth have been given what looks, on paper, like the most comfortable of routes to another semi-finals day appearance.
The Maer men have a first-round engagement away at Ottery St Mary (tie to be played before May 31) and the winners of that tie will host Alphington with the winners of that match taking one of the four berths on offer at the Budleigh semi-finals where they would meet one of Seaton, Clyst St George or Topsham who are also in the top half of the draw.
