Who travels the furthest in 2017?

The 1st XI will travel over 200 miles FURTHER than the 2nd XI in 2017.

Gary Chappell and his men will travel 575.1 miles with five of their nine away matches involving travel of over 60 miles (the round trip). The longest journey is the 123 miles there and back for the Plymouth match and the shortest journey is the 20.2 to Shobrooke Park and they also have a short travel with two others in the 30 miles there and back (Sidmouth and Heathcoat). There’s the 46 miles there and back to Exmouth and the 63.2 to Bovey Tracey along with the 74 and 78 to Torquay and Paignton respectively. North Devon – at 98.6 – is the second longest round trip.


The 2nd XI will travel over 200 miles less than the 1st XI in 2017 with Chris Actons men travelling a total of 354.4 miles.  The longest return journey is the 100 mile round trip to Hatherleigh. At the other end of the scale there are no fewer than four trips of  under 30 miles there and back with the games against Clyst Hydon (12.8), Thorverton (12.6), Shobrooke Park (22.2), and  Sidmouth and Exmouth (31.6) – both playing home games at Newton Poppleford.
